I was just wondering about the "undone" MultiPlayer feature.

- Why didn't you make it?
- Will this feature ever exist?

I know it might be an answer of this in the German sub-forum, but I don't know any German.

Especially the script feature is hard to implement therefore it is not sure if there will be a multiplayer mode.

The programmer himself can't say if there will be an MP mode and if there will be one, it will be included at the end of development

Huh? You just said that it wasn't yet decided but you also said that it would be implemented.

PS Multiplayer would be so savagely awesome. My friend would play Stranded II, but he dies alot, mainly because he's not very good at gathering food. Multiplayer would up this game (in my opinion) from a 9/10 to a 10/10. Complete coolness.

It would be good, if DC made a important marked FAQ here where the question of a MP mode is officially answered

Anyways, misunderstandings aside, I agree that a multiplayer sticky should be made to stop people from repeatedly questioning about it. Or update the pictures to the latest version to destroy all evidence of it. Then all the new users will be all surprised if multiplayer is implemented, and if it is not they won't be dissapointed.

however there will be probably no multiplayer - or just a very poor one which will be "experimental" and full of bugs -
its too hard for me to realize a good multiplayer. rember that everything is destructable, there are a lot of animals and there are tons of scripts which are things that are really really hard to synchronize because you can do nearly everything with them

Yeah, but for Gamemodes like CTF or DM or just 3D-Chat you wont need Animals or destruktable Objekts. At least for the Animals you just could define all the ways the walk, so it will be harder making MP maps of course but the Animals could be loaded directly from every players computer, not from the hoster.

you may deaktivate Damage on all Static objects like Trees and such.

Possible Stuff could be: Race Game (No destructable stuff, only player coordinates.
DM: Player DMG, Player Coordinates, Player Weapons, Player-created-projectiles, wich player shot?


But at least, just the feature of chatting would be enough for me... (at least better than nothing!)

Your sleep goes for 15-20 seconds

but the problem is that that means because time doesnt change

it would be more of a nap so in the game you could make the script for players sleep say

if multyplayer state = 1 then energy is drained 50% faster or something like that

And for a post thats left at the top i think there should be (and only if he does do it) for things like if he gets stuck he can post on the thing or even make another forum for it and we could help out

i dont know if it will affect the game in multi if it ever happens

but would having you set to id 1 and all other players set to id 1 cause problems

and if so a solution would be to have it that you have seperate ids eg make it that when you choose a spot when you join eg (player 1 2 3... it has its own id and this would also mean each player could be treated as a totaly different item or unit (whatever you call it)
