I mean... what tiny resolution are you using on the second screen?! It's 640x361?! One decade old "Smartphones" had such resolutions.

That scoreboard player name down-scaling always existed. It's not something new added with the new version.

Basically the thing that changed is that you are using a tiny resolution so less players fit on the scoreboard and it scales the text down - which, I totally agree, looks ugly and unreadable. The very same thing happened with older version on servers with 32 players.

But, gentlemen, we at Unreal Software take all sorts of criticism 100% seriously. The scoreboard needs some work anyway and I'll try to improve this by using a smaller font when there are many players. This will compensate to a certain limit but with a height of just 361 pixels you will still run into problems on a full server with 32 people. Can't fully prevent this. Don't want to add scrolling to the scoreboard.

Well.. I'm open for suggestions how to solve the space problem (and for scoreboard suggestions in general). The thing is that I want all players to be visible at once. Scrolling is too annoying for a scoreboard in my opinion...

One possible alternative would be to switch to a 2 column layout when necessary.

The current scoreboard has all the information we need; however, I think it'd be cool to make a new one, perhaps based on CS:GO's scoreboard, since that's the main CS nowadays and probably what new players are familiar with when coming to CS2D.

There'll be cs2d cmd sv_scoreboard command. And its default would be
parse('sv_scoreboard "score" "death" "ping"')
. We'll actually use the "value" parameter of cs2d lua cmd player.

So this way, we can make something like
parse('sv_scoreboard "health" "money" "ping"')
which shows healths, moneys and pings of players in the scoreboard.

This is only an idea. Of course, you should preoccupy while going to make it.

Changing this would add latency dependent scoreboard lag which would be a horrible design flaw. Because that would mean it would take long to open the scoreboard when you have a high ping.

Please yes The new aspect ratio is not friendly with old resolutions -.- In my screens you can't see because it is cut, but there are black bars on top and below the view, and it appears only after joining a server.

Of course this new bug will not annoy players who will play HD, but if anyone wants to go to old 640x480 they will have problem.

Imagine if Valve patched old resolutions in any cs version like this. Half of the community would cry
