Hey everyone, I made this puzzle game and it would mean the world if you guys would try it out

There are no ads or in-app purchases. I just want to entertain you guys!

The premise of the game is to recreate a diagram with strips in the fewest amount of moves.

These strips can overlap each other in various ways, so finding the most optimal strategy isn't always easy.

Sometimes, you don't even know which strip to begin with!

For example, this level:

Sure I've provided it above. It's a 7mb download and the application requires no permissions.

@user break-core: Hehe I saw your post actually. It's more of a chill game though, your style is more epic I think.

Nicely done, kemine. I don't know if I'd have found out quickly how to play it without your description.

• The game should return to menu automatically after a win. (or after a tap on the whole game area. Or a "next level" button. And the hardware "Back" button doesn't work.)
• The upwards arrow is strange. All of Android uses Left Arrow to designate the "Back" action (Android Guidelines afaik). I know, japanese and everything, but it's still confusing.
• If you touch a strip and leave it at spawn position it'll count as move, although it shouldn't.
° Procedurally generated puzzlezzz?

I write music in different styles. I even worked on children's rhymes

@user VADemon: Hey thanks for the 5* review

I did try to do some of these initially, but...

> A tutorial

A tutorial? Yup I should've put one. If you look at my past games, I don't put tutorials in those either .

> Go back after win

I thought about doing this, but I didn't want to change the screen without the user's consent.

(1) During the first levels of the game, they might not even know that they won, and it would just return to the level select.

(2) If they didn't get *EXCELLENT*, they retain the option of refreshing and trying the level again without selecting the level again.

(3) And even if they got *EXCELLENT* on the first try, I wanted them to have the option to take a screenshot of their victory.

> Back hardware button

The engine (Gideros - lua based? yup who would've guessed?) I'm using probably supports pressing back, but it's supposed to be multi-platform. iOS does not have this button.

> Next level button

I should've put one. I thought I didn't have enough space but looking again it should work at the bottom.

> Up arrow to go back

Oh it had nothing to do with it having a Japanese game title. The level select screen scrolls left and right. So I had level screens scroll up and down.

> Touching a strip at spawn

Yup for sure. I changed the counting moves algorithm multiple times to account for moving a strip back into the same place, but I decided to take a simpler approach, but definitely could've added that in too.

> Procedurally generated puzzlezzz?

Oh my gosh yes. Okay I really wanted this but the issue is how would I count the minimum amount of moves?

All the levels define the position and overlap of every strip. It also defines the minimum amount of moves required to solve the puzzle.

I have yet to find an algorithm (or create one), that can determine the fewest amount of moves.

And even in testing, I found new ways to get a lower move count. So I don't even know how I would find an optimal solution.

I won the game. All 27 levels excellent. And what i seen? Black screen and rotating things. Why black? plz. make it the same colour and nice fade lines there.
K, if you wanna leave it black, make it very dark blue with little shining stars on it. Would look like it is night and fireworks would fit the background.

It's a dark color to allow for contrast. Shining stars sounds like a great idea though

Congrats on getting perfect on every level, it's pretty confusing at times lol
