Hey there,

I recently found out that you can open your taskbar programs with the hotkey WINKey + Num. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit.

I drag & drop my internet browser shortcut into my taskbar onto the first slot. Now I can open my browser with WIN+1 easily.

But I can also drag& drop it to another location where I have to use another number to open it and I dont want that.

Btw the option "Lock the taskbar" by rightclicking on the taskbar does not solve the solution. It fixes the taskbar itself, not the icon shortcuts on it.

How I can I make my shortcuts on a constant position so I cant move them by accident?

Thanks for reading

Either open them in the desired order or drag them once opened. There is no other way.

Also, in two years Microsoft is going to stop security updates for Windows 7. Just so you know.

7+ Taskbar Tweaker:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\7 Taskbar Tweaker\OptionsEx\disable_items_drag = 1 (DWORD)

You need to restart the tool in order to update the registry setting.

PS: Read the built-in documentation, this tool is awesome. What I mostly use it for is to unfold selected programs to icon+text (e.g. Explorer, LibreOffice...) while the rest remains icons-only
