Hi UnrealSoftware. I'm part of PCS management, the competitive CS2D community, and in name of all our community I want you to invite to: Newbie Cup, organized by user Milriko

• What's this?
Is a old format of tournament that intended to involve no-competitive players into the scene.
You've to be a Newbie/Newcomer player, without much experience in competitive gameplay.
user Milriko has written
Good, known or simply old (experience-wise) players will not get accepted into this tournament.

• Rules
The tournament will be 1v1. The format will be determinated when the registration ends. Taking care about the number of participants there will be a direct elimination or a group phase.
You'll have to check the Anti-Cheat MOSS (nohope.eu) and learn how to use it.
Find more of the rules clicking here.

It's a good chance for people who seek to have fun on a more serious approach of CS2D, while not having to fear to face impossible to beat, experienced players.

I highly suggest everyone to try it. Much fun expected !

I hope you will not mind, I will Express my opinion:
Looks pretty tempting. But you still think that this game is quite popular? My humble opinion:
• No, popularity is falling every day.
Sad.
• Yes, on the one hand, you are trying to revive the popularity of the game. But, again, in my opinion, will not return a popularity of the game.
The user CoSmo says that it is necessary to look at professionals.
• Beginners can be quite a lot, but these "professionals" a little as they tired of the game. For Newbies it`s too not in favor, as they fail to get experience.
• Important note:
No, I don't oppress your idea. On the contrary, even like it. But do you not think about you're need say it late? Somewhere for 2 years, 3.
• Epilogue:
But, without such Championships players do not play. I don't know need you my words or no. I am most grateful to you for read it.
Sincerely,
Yours, @user kerker:

This project is exactly to bring more activity to the game.
You didn't shared your opinion, you just said the same thing everyone says guessing it's a true fact. "CS2D is dead".
Let me tell you something. Counter-Strike 2D isn't dead.
• We play daily mixes with PCS community.
• You can check those Doghouse servers with 15+ players everytime.
• We organize succeful tournaments, even 10 players in a single match, cares about playing the tournament.
• A media of 100 guys playing in the "top" hour/time of the day that reaches that quantity.

I know isn't much. But isn't nothing.
Is CS2D community. Is our community

The best option right here is stop telling us that this game isn't popular like someday it was and take a try on PCS Newbie cup.

Please note that I not trying to insult you or nothing.
Regards.

@user Lobwver: With kind regards and thanks for your patience in this matter.
But, permit me to say that:
• You didn't read to the end, I said that the idea is very good, to bring activity. (It is self understood) Maybe I was wrong that called the game too unpopular. But I just wanted to say that earlier it would have been interesting, since last times many people play the game.
• I am very disappointed about this fact, and hope that you can help me to clear out this very strange situation.I would greatly appreciate your answer. (PM or here, in your opinion)
@user barlogx:
• They shall do our best to bring activity to the game.
• Yours faithfully,
@user kerker:

I've readed everything on your post.
But the point is the same, you said that the game is unpopular. The game never was "popular"

Btw, just don't mind what you or me said.
I'll be glad if you register on this Tournament. I did c:

You never practiced in any tournament and it makes that you are newbie, no offense.

So you're saying a player from 2012 can play vs players from 2015-2016? Alright that sounded weird for a second because I never knew a tournament makes a player better in a game while normal game modes can't

Participation in tournaments makes a player better, that's for sure. Trust me or not but a player called JaQu started playing in CS2D 1 year ago. He was the real noob. After entering the competitive scene he gained a lot of experiments and now is able to beat old players.

Well indeed the name of the tournament its being problematic but its a tournament with somewhat long past.

Some problems from these "newbies"
[offtopic]What about people like me which aren't newbies nor pros?

I'll just sit in the corner then...

I guess it would have been easier to just promote it as "play your first 1on1 tournament" rather than "get here you newbie!"
