Hi,

After installing Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon (64-bit arch) to keep my copy of Windows 10 for another PC when I'll get one, I run on a problem with the sound system in CS2D.

Usually to get the "no sound" issue fixed on most Linux distributions, I typed the following command-line as the following:
sudo apt-get install libopenal-dev

This command downloads the libopenal-dev and its packages. Here I'll show the following packages installed from this lib.
libopenal-data
libopenal-dev
libopenal1
libopenal:i386

However, after launching CS2D and checking the "Sound Driver" setting field to change to "OpenAL Default" to take effects the option doesn't exist there. The library was installed successfully, furthermore, I also restarted the PC and reinstalled the lib back yet still same.

It is unfortunate that this solution is by far the unique one to get this issue fixed in Linux. Either way, I could install other drivers to check which of them works and fits but it is risky and a waste of time. Any Linux Mint user here who had the same problem but found a method to get rid this issue off? I'd be flattered.

• Edit 1: Well, I managed to fix it by myself. Just installed libopenal-dev:i386 library and everything works. Oddly that when I had Ubuntu it wasn't necessary to install this package - can't remember for sure. You can leave this thread alone now.
