Im going to rent a VPS with antiddos protection for my community and I want to know how much traffic the dedicated use. I want to host 1 or 2 servers with 12 slots and no lua scripts. Ill just add some non-default maps as nuke, train and others. Btw the VPS specs are these: intel xeon (single core), 1gb ddr3 ram, 10gb hdd, 50mbps up/down, 100gb traffic.

Btw, is there any way to host server maps on my website (not in the vps), like a download redirection? This can save some traffic right?

At the moment 20 players play on my 4 servers and network usage is very low 625.59 kBit/s but sometimes outgoing traffic jumps to 3 MBit/s - check screenshot. Technically you are able to host a large number of servers. The most important is Virtualization and CPU.

The second thing, you can use website to host for the server only images and sounds, not maps. Just have a look at servertransfer.lst in your sys directory.

Virtualization it's a method of separating dedicated server into smaller parts. The most popular is OpenVZ but it's not the best choice to host game servers. I'd like to recommend you to use Xen or KVM.

How much cpu is recommended? This question has no clear answer, just you have to monitor the server and control CPU%. You should install htop on your VPS to get pretty cool process viewer.
