Clientdata mode 4 will now also return an SHA256 checksum of the requested file (empty string if file is outside gfx/ or sfx/)

Is it correct that maps/ will not return a checksum? If so, why?

Don't know, i only open the launcher, click on 640x480
Run it, and screen goes black and i can only see my mouse cursor, everything gets stuck and i have to press ESC to close it
same happens with other resolutions

Because frankly I don't see an application for returning checksums of map files. When you're connecting to a server it's guaranteed that you'll be playing on the same map anyway, as well as if it changes. I'm open to having my mind changed though.

@user EngiN33R: For one I thought it can be used to determine if the native or temporary map is loaded.
On the other hand, since this release will make it possible to create hash checksums of files, I will stick to it to create a tool (run by invovled volunteers locally) to make an archive of all available user-made cs2d content (maps, sounds, images), as an example you can imagine it to be an advanced version of file cs2d [TOOL] Mapexport 2.3 + Listexport (Servertransfer)
There has been a plenty of threads of people searching particular maps. With our communities' help we can make the most complete archive of cs2d files.
By way of illustration: my cs2d folder is 650+ MB in size. And I'm totally serious about the idea of creating an archive us

Okey boys, one quick question. When this version is going to be released? New resolution is the only way my fps lag problem is fixed and I am able to play cs2d normally

@user KDMRL: When most of major bugs are going to be fixed soon as possible so we can be sure nothing would prevent to work at the fullest. Yes, you can't expect always something to be bug-free but at least some few improvements and fixed major bugs and ready for the official release.

Glad to see CS2D is now being developed by two dedicated users. Awesome features addition, especially the "new light engine with better performance, more features and without map size limit" and "new super awesome advanced radar with included mini map". Need to try it ASAP and post bugs if I encounter any.

I saw these artifacts long time ago. These are some floating point problems, I guess. It is very weird, I couldn't come up with any reason for this to happen. Though, Radar function is in the wrong place right now, that might be the reason.

Hmm yeah I also think that it's problem with floats. Maybe you should somehow try to round these values? I hope this issue will be solved.

BTW I completely turned off shadows/lighting and I have a feeling that the walls are moving. It's weird

@user SQ: Can you tell me if it's possible to release just one small update with new resolution? It kinda fix my FPS problem in cs2d. I am not 100% about that, but nothing else works.

Probably DC won't want to release a small update right now. Let's just wait for final 1.0.0.2. I don't know how higher resolution could have increased FPS though

What if you script lua with Image function? You have to specify X and Y of image's possition but if screen resolution is bigger, your image won't be on the center because if you set for image possition x: 320, y: 240 (to be on center), it won't be on center at 1280x960 screen resolution (I guess).

Maybe we should get it from clientdata, info about x and y size of client screen.

@user Gaios: Simonas said that even though the players run a different resolution lua commands and stuff will be using the 640x480 coordinates. I suggest to add an option to choose wether that should be enabled or not (enabled by default).

Actually nevermind. I just checked one thing. This new pre-relase version also doesn't have the FPS drop when I used standard resolution. It's just something You fixed in the code that doesn't lag my game. No idea what. Anyway, Im just gonna wait now for the release, I'm just hoping It's not gonna be a year untill it's released.
