So a while ago I bought this beautiful game based on "Stranded II" It's called "Stranded Deep" this game has Just released on Steam. The gameplay and systematic Is pretty much Inspired by stranded II.

You can find this game on steam and you can see that the price is quite Expensive for an early access game.I played this awhile ago and i can find only a little difference this game has. as i made this thread i want to talk about the correlation of this game (Stranded Deep) and the original stranded series

This game Is like any girl you met on dating sites only to realise later after you met her in person because she is in fact really boring.

The good part of this game is
-Random island has a natural landscaping.
-(Almost) Realistic Physic (until is saw my raft become hover raft, but at least it has a physics).
-Spear fishing and advanced Cunstruction (the feature that I actually enjoys)
-Nice sand and hut graphic.

But The Crap part of this game is
-The actual plants graphic is looks like stranded II titanium mod
-Has decimated content compared to stranded II
-Bugs Everywhere
-Early access still made it Not worth buying (unless you do it to support the devs)

It's Kinda disappointing that some people thought that This game Is The stranded 3 itself.

And DC if you are reading this you know ill always Support your development of Stranded III

∗ And also if you haven't heard from DC Stranded III is going to cost some money but it will be more affordable ∗

Actually I agree that Stranded has a better gameplay and more supporters but sometimes this game gotta need to hire some better Graphic designer

Well as you can see, this is someone else's screenshot from story mode of stranded 2

while the randomly generated island from stranded deep looks like this

You see! how are stranded gonna compete with that
Gamers today prefer purely charming graphic rather than actual quality gameplay.

I saw Robbaz play around with Stranded Deep for a bit. Seems pretty legit!
I didn't see much bugs during his gameplay. Other than the shark's corpse NOT floating. Unless that's... supposed to happen in real life.

Regardless, Stranded II had a bunch of stuff in it! It wasn't JUST a survival game!
• You could create your own maps, scripts and all!
• A story mode, WITH a random map generator for those who just wanna survive.
And if the game is boring for ya...
• Modify it to anything you wish!

And I support SIII all the way.

Stranded III won't compete with Stranded Deep...
...Stranded III will crush Stranded Deep.

How can an expensive early access game compete with a free one with multiplayer built in? SIII will take long to be released, but when it is, the wait will surely be worth it.

I tried the early access version of Stranded Deep but it doesn't seem to have that much content yet. The graphics look pretty good - not as good as the screens made me think. This might also be caused by my average video card though.

I'll keep my eye on this but for now I think that Rust is actually a much bigger competitor. It has multiplayer and it has much more content and also much more people working on it.

I also think that Stranded Deep will still focus more on diving and underwater stuff. This won't be the case in Stranded III. So these games can probably coexist in peace

Rust is definitely a fun game to watch on Twitch also. Games like that are pretty popular I'd say because there's so much fun involved. You can hide in houses and look through cracks of the wooden house interior/exterior to see if there's enemies outside. It's pretty much a great and excellent game.

Stranded II shouldn't be compared with Stranded Deep. Stranded II is about 7 years ago while Stranded Deep is now. Well I think user DC should get a team or maybe help because if he works alone then Stranded III will take a long time to compete Stranded Deep or get such graphics (also a new video card).

user DC gave us a reason why he works alone, and theres a good reason as well. working on a game like S3 does take long long long time but thats the point.

I kinda agree with you DC
I was felling rather Scared and worried after playing stranded deep that people is going to call stranded III a ripoff before knowing. Like that time people called "Fallout 3" as a "Bioshock" rip-off even that the original fallout was made in 1997.
i hope these two stranded games can Exist together peacefully
feel Sorry about that
