If it has been in ESL twice then you should leave it alone until you actually have a decent and active community. Instead of 50 people actively playing it all the time it should be near the 200.

I guess ESL wants to hear something interesting rather than "we've changed!"

You should start creating your own little ESL kind of thing based on what they could do for CS2D. Kick off from there but don't expect to get back into ESL for the 3rd time so quickly.

Our first chapter with ESL was written years ago, the second one happened last year. We raised over 200 players in test tournament (when ESL wanted only 64 to prove our activity). It died because of our coordinators and the ESL Admin that was assigned to us. Our coordinators stopped playing 2D (well, they weren't the best choice) and the ESL admin didn't give a single shit about us. Well, he didn't even reply to msg's. I wrote to him twice in January and March and he read the msg in JULY.
The community itself has nothing to do with the reason of 2d's fall in ESL. We would just require some rights down there to create tournaments and we can work smoothly without any problems.

As you can see there, section for 2D is not even closed.

Old cup we did: http://www.esl.eu/eu/news/181602/ These rules are fine?

Hey!
Good news, we can already register for upcoming 1on1 tournament.
http://play.eslgaming.com/new-games/pc/cs2d/open/1on1-community-cup-1-europe/

Tournament is set to be a single-elimination knockout phase. It seems like there are no rules yet.

edit : Rules and news will be posted on Sunday.

And once again I am impressed that the ESL are not able to make an easy to use website. In all honesty the ESL has to be one of the worst designed websites for years now. No wonder younger people hardly use tournament websites anymore. Besides most of the time you don't need them anyway at times with matchmaking directly in the game. On the one hand it's sad that there are less clans but you just don't need them anymore.

Not to mention that most tournaments (besides some major tournaments) managed by the ESL are just horrible organized, with bad casters and so on.

So I really don't get it why people want to have a cup at the ESL. I just see no advantage over any self-organized tournament, but maybe someone can enlighten me. But one thing is for sure, the amount of players who will play CS2D because the are ESL-user will be close to zero. It's more likely that a cs2d player will register at the esl page.
