We are going back to esl with new and serious staff but you need vote to make this possible, this will be a nice christmas present for cs2d community (unrealsoftware and pcs project).
Just sign in ,vote on pool and write +1 in comments.

PS: DC if you don't mind can you create a usgn popup mensage for this?

Merry Christmas for everybody .

Not enough players I guess. There are quite a lot of active players but most seem to prefer non standard game modes with tons of custom Lua scripts. At least most servers seem to run that stuff. Most of this stuff isn't suited for a ladder or league.

CS2D was already in ESL, though the number of players wasn't a problem. We had bad coordinators/admins from our sections. The point is that they weren't chosen by community, a player from CS2D community who was a coordinator was simply a normal player, who had no bigger knowledge of communication with others and ORGANISATION. He isn't with us anymore, he stopped playing and so did cs2d stopped in ESL.

The tournaments are still here, players are still here, we want to move them back to ESL, with some more serious staff than previously.

Same words as DC. Cs2dMax is not competitive since there are happy towns that are filled with many players and other Roleplay craps, CS2D 0114 Was More competitive

@user routeXYZ: That's not what I said or meant. I just said that the standard game mode is not played as much as custom stuff. I don't share the opinion that older CS2D versions were better in any way Older versions allow much more cheating/hacking like getting other weapons or changing ammo. They don't even have real Linux servers. They are not suited for the ESL.

I am currently writing one which is supposedly suited for a ladder but I need more time to work on it. Currently there is a few bugs but after they're fixed the script will be useful in terms of tournaments and what not. I'm planning to make it log player stats like kills per death and such stats into a match file which can later be uploaded to a website to show match results and top fraggers and the like. If that seems like a good idea then cool but I'm still unsure if this CS2D for ESL thing will go large, but I'm willing to support the idea and I'm willing to support the competitive scene with Lua scripts that can help in ladders and such.

I also have a Lua script which can show the skill groups of players based on their ELO rating which is essentially based on the performance of the player. The higher ELO rating the better the player has performed.
