How to create a map overview and base.

Some people have problem when creating a overview or a base of a map before creating a map, me too! After I stare cs 1.6 for a long, long time... I finally found the trick. (Actually only for about 30 second, but hard time make time seen slow...) So let me show you how to do it!

Part 1
First, draw 'ct' and 't' on a piece of blank paper.

Part 2
Second, draw 'a' and 'b' that represents bombsites. 'a' must be near 'ct' and 'b' must be at least in the center of 'ct' and 't', so the map is balance and playable.

Part 3
Draw the main bases, main bases are bigger than routes.

Part 4
Start drawing routes, routes should be small and not to be straight.

Part 5
Rub away the connections between bases and routes. Your map are ready to be created in cs2d soon.

More about mapping:
• You can add obstacle or wall 'obstacle'.
• You can add sounds, images or other stuff.
• You may make arrows that lead 't' to 'a' or 'b'.

What you must do:
• Sign for bombsites must be put at bombsites.
• You must put at least 3 spawn.
• Less sprites and sound or you make the game lag.

guess you got me wrong, i wasnt complaing about who is better in mapping... i was just talking about the other steps arent very detailed and the images might lead people to do similar things which is "wrong" we dont want to see the same style in every map. a good tip which always makes sense is to first think about for how many people the map should be build for (1n1-5n5 or even for public 8n8+).
then think about the right map size - 1n1-2n2 should start at 25x25, 3n3 40x40-50x50, 4n4 60x60-70x70, 5n5 80x80-100x100.
those are no values you must take, they will just give a overview about on which size it would be good to start with.
after it set the bombspots. judging by their positions you can create the spawns. creating the bombspot areas should be the next step, then you can build as you like, just keep your own mapping style and make sure you set ways etc. tactical so the right gameplay is given. last step should be working on details and correcting few things to make the whole project playable and not just few parts of the map.

Hey hey hey! This is a tutorial, a idea that make them know what the step to create a map overview, not following the image i shown above. A idea, or I even didn't need to put those images up there. Those are just steps, not the map. I create it fast because I did not have time to make a complete one.
