Hello, I'm begining to make skins for CS2D and I'm not quite experienced on this, so I'll try to learn how to make them by "training" with paint. (if you have another tool to suggest, I'm open for suggestions) Post an image of the skin that you want me to make, I'll try to do my best.

@user Dousea: Later, he must use better program(Photoshop, Gimp), if he want to create cool sprites.. Thats why i prefer to start learning those now already

But you can use Paint.net, too.. just in my opinion better choice, if you start a hard software and also there are thousand and thousand tutorials on the internet for Photoshop

I don't see why it would. Photoshop is actually crap and any other program has the same basic stuff you need. I don't see why there would be any need for shit functions to change the shape of a pixel sprite or whatever.

Well if you already have photoshop then use it. If not it wont make much sense to buy it for some 2d game skins only. I suggest you to download gimp its free but you might have some problems with it in the beginning but tutorials will help for the beginner stuff (thats what you need only, to create your skins)

Im good in paint. I always use paint for skinning and edit it with paint.net. I create bunch of skins, but I don't want to upload it because i want it to be perfect. Suggest use Paint.Net.

MS Paint or Microsoft Paint is "a simple graphics painting program that has been included with all versions of Microsoft Windows". This program is useful too if you want to create CS2D skin because Paint is often used to create Pixel Art.

I use Paint.net - because unlike ms Paint it works fine with transparency, layers, can open different types of files and has a mass of instruments which reduces routine of work.
At my mind Photoshop as GIMP is long enough launch (and it takes a lot of disk space) and is too complicated interface for a beginner.

For start - Look through all cs2d forum - there is enough manuals, tutorials for the beginner.

The main thing to understand principles of skins and always try to do better than you did it last time.
You can start private topic at forum - Attach images of your work there - And in future, your skins that people deem worthy and quality, can be placed in the file archive (otherwise there accumulated mass of ugly garbage)
