Hello,

I have got a problem with launching CS2D in fullscreen. When I launch the game, it opens in fullscreen, but the problem is, there is those black boxes on both the left and right side.

Could anyone help me getting rid of those black boxes while still playing with fullscreen?

And yes, I have tried to read several other posts, both couldn't find any helpful answer. And yes, I did try switching from "Windowed" to "Fullscreen" in the Launcher option.

So anyone? Thanks in advance!

640*480 is 4:3.

Live with it or get a 4:3 monitor. Else you have to stretch the image shown and it looks ugly.

If you are talking about the resolution, my screens resolution is 1366 x 768?

For some reason, I can't printscreen in-game.

1366x768 is not 4:3. Be happy, you have only 2 ways: buy new monitor or change screen's resolution (what would look ugly).

So there is no possible way for me to run the game in fullscreen without the black boxes?

No, because 640x480 is resolution for that game, and can't be changed (this would give unfair advantage to people with big monitors when playing online). So there isn't way to run it on fullscreen without black boxes (unless you get 4:3 monitor, as user VADemon said already).

I don't use fullscreen because it really looks ugly as it is stretched.
If you're unhappy with the sidebars, I will tell you that S2 has sidebars too but nobody complains.

S2 with sidebars? Nope. (Warning, 4MB): http://img805.imageshack.us/img805/9578/screenshot0903201313591.png

@user VADemon: Didn't you know that printing NEVER copies the sidebars.

Open CS2D on fullscreen.
Notice the sidebars.
Print the screen.
Paste on MS Paint.
Notice that the sidebars don't exist.

I HATE how in Fullscreen instead of it being fullscreen, its just like the same size as windowed. but with black surrounding it

You can get it fullscreen, but only with special tricks.
