Risen 2 Gothic 3 (huge story) Assassins Creed IIIThey are not free, but you can´t find any freeware games with a good story. You can find a few cheap games with a good story.
Which kind of game do you prefer?

Gothic and Risen are very good games indeed but they sucked up in newest parts of Gothic. Gothic 1-2 best for sure.

GTA: San Andreas has the best storyline in my opinion. The missions and sidemissions will keep you busy for weeks, and you'll hardly get tired of it. I heard Bully: Scholarship Edition is also good, but I never actually played, but judging by what I've seen it's based on GTA (it was made by Rockstar Games too) so it should have a nice story.

I have played Bully: Scholarship Edition, in fact completed the story 2 times!
i would recommend this game (Not for kids, for sure) it has an awesome story.
And yeah it's not free, i played it on PS2 (Good old days) and my PC

This is the best game if you don't have very good PC. I loved playing with it.
