How to make a mod:
     1. Ask friends to see if your idea is actually good, and not the random crap which we got spammed by Dev1lass.
     2. Know what you're doing. Realise your idea in your head and see if it's actually possible to do what you want.
     3. Never start a mod without help. Always have others to help whenever you need it, because you will.
     4. Don't create a thread when you just started, make a thread when it's either 80% done or completely finished and ready for release.

Yes. arxi and Yates right. you need minimum 15-20 people for mode. 3-4 scripter. 2-3 mapper. 1-2 skinner. 5 people who make tile. 1 trigger xD. 1-2 people who make shadows.
Btw Space RPG mod only what has been relased/finished. Good luck..

gfreemon-hl is my friend (never seen him in real life, but that does not matters). He was very wondered why you reply strange posts. I came here and red all them. Now i just want to comment it a little bit.

1. He know English quite bad, espesially he always speaks in Present Simple
2. He NEVER mentioned making mod. Furthermore, this topic is in map branch of the forum and not in the mod branch.
3. There is absolujtely no need for team to create computer projects. I know, that you are untrusty because really talented people are rare, but we are two of them.
I myself have created 4 relatively big projects. Two of them received 1st place in 2 city competitions ( notice that there very many contesters in Moscow ). other was my try to do something basic with D3D... and i made small textured island with shakable palms. Last was pixelated game with physics, ability to build buildings and more. That game was posted on forums and received many good replies.
Now: i made 4/4 of them ALONE.
By this time i have gathered tons of expirience inn programming and mapmaking. I have also seen tons of gfreemon's-hl works. And i say that if he says that he will do a map, he will surely do it mostly alone, only aksing me or other friend about some advanced programming algorhytms.
PS: if you wonder why i myself did not created and posted any maps or mod, this is bacause i prefer making whole programs, written from nothing.

I lol'd - since when do you need advanced (sic!) programming algorhytms to make a simple CS2D map? Anyway, what you said is quite unbelievable.

I already made whole mods alone. You don't need 15-20 people for something, WAY too much. You can't rely on 2 or 3 of them and then you're fucked with everything.
