I had no doubt that religion thread started by a Russian will turn into shit-storming.

That's quite harsh to say [...]

Exactly my opinion.

We are just free to act as we like. No constantly interventing "big daddy" who dictates what we have to do and what not.

So guys tell me just one, only one, mechanism how a god could prevent somebody from killing some other. By standing in the line, every time someone tries to? Ridiculous. Making us to nearly brainless slaves without any free will or freedom of action? And why should a god prescribe what is good and what is bad? We are the only one who can define what is good or bad for us and act accordingly.

Love it when people have no counter argument
so they resort to flaming and personal attacks, hilarious.

That kind of argumentation is well known as argumentum ad hominem.

@McLeaf The way I see it, that is kind of what God does: giving us free will and allowing us to make our own decisions. You can follow or abandon him, and make your own choices based on it. Some people just do not fully understand the whole concept of freedom within a belief of an omnipotent entity and claim "He controls every aspect of your lives!!" It is not like that at all. Or so I see it.
Most people would have a conscience, which would be like someone's hand guiding you away from a negative aspect. At least, that is how it feels to me.
@Alistare: Ignorance is what allowed human atrocities to even occur in the first place. We choose not care about our fellow people, and blood is shed as we turn the other cheek. May be a bit exaggerated, but that is how it has usually been when we ignore someone in need.
