There's no "wealthy elite" in the western world. Such things exist in third world countries etc, look at oil sheiks and the difference between the Burj al arab and the rest of the city there. THAT IS A WEALTHY ELITE.
The "wealthy elite" you mean are companies etc, but that's bullshit of course. If you're born poor, you could end rich when you made a company like Lego. That's no wealthy elite.
When you're born in the right family in any country, you're maybe "wealthy" but not always part of the "elite".

Dude, all voltage and no current = no plasma. You need insane amplitude, like I said before. Also, I want to point out the obvious fact that you cannot create energy. With your theoretical system ( if you actually built it ) you could create energy. Not gonna happen.

That was bit of a provocation. Still I think economy has been given too big role. Capitalism driven efficiency thinking (maximize the gains) has gone too far in some cases. For example here in Finland homes for the elderly don't have enough staff to take proper care of the old people because it "costs too much". Also they are given too little and low quality food.
