What is hud_dot for?

I think it's currently not used in the game.
why is it there then?
because I planned to use it as an indicator for current flag colors in the hud on dom_ maps but I didn't do it for some reason I don't remember. an alternative use was to draw a dotted trail when throwing a grenade between the player and the mouse pointer. I didn't do that either.
also I didn't remove it because I didn't think about it and it's probably only a few bytes compressed anyway so it doesn't matter.
possible that it is used somehwere and I don't remember. I really don't know.
