It's quite possible that there will be another game in the series since there is already a "Counter-Strike: Source Beta" on Steam. I bet there will be a new game engine that resembles the Half-Life 2 one but more improved.

Don't know if it's really in progress, but I think it's confirmed that it has been started and worked upon.

I only ask this because of the other long waits on other games, such as Duke Nukem Forever. I didn't think DNF was that good despite waiting a long time.

I don't know if I will enjoy it when it has been released I'm just curious if it'll become better than the Half-Life 2 actually, so I'll probably play it if that was accomplished by Valve's game development team but I'm still not a huge fan of the Half-Life 2 game though and I'm not sure if many are either. I think Half-Life 3 still will be released somehow someday. I can feel it.
