Yeah so I'm trying to play some DOM but it seems as though everyone has onyl one life as no one respawns. This is happening on every game type (ctf etc.) and I have no idea why?

Is there a setting somewhere that disables respawning that I have hit by mistake?

Cheers

Different game modes have different spawn settings. You might have switched cs2d cmd mp_autogamemode off, so the server doesn't select the best game mode on loading the map.

To edit the game mode, use the following setting:
cs2d cmd sv_gm
There are five game modes:
0 - Standard (no respawning until the next round)
1 - Deathmatch (free for all. Everyone can hit everyone. Players can respawn when they're dead)
2 - Team Deathmatch (one team against another. Players can respawn)
3 - Construction (one team against another, but players can build. Also allows respawning)
4 - Zombies (I have no idea how that works, I never play it)

For a domination map, either deathmatch or team deathmatch is the best game mode, depending on the map (how many points there are to dominate, the size of the map, etc). Team Deathmatch is more suitable for most dom maps.

To change the game mode, say
1
2
/sv_gm [GAMEMODE], e.g.
/sv_gm 2
Which will change the game mode to team deathmatch.

To enable cs2d cmd mp_autogamemode, just type
1
/mp_autogamemode 1
And hopefully, CS2D will determine the best game mode every time it loads a map.

Good luck!
