Offlineat the start it shows a message with stuff that is not finished and the waypointing is one of these unfinished things.
conclusion: its not possible to create waypoints with the new editor because this feature is still missing.

i got in the alpha cant make weypoins ok i will wait

just click open, enter the name of the map and click open beneath to open.
saving works exactly the same just with "save" instead of "open"
