Off Topic There will be a solar flare in 2013."Recent scientific research has shown that the phenomenon of magnetic reconnection is responsible for solar flares. Magnetic reconnection is the name given to the rearrangement of magnetic lines of force when two oppositely directed magnetic fields are brought together. This rearrangement is accompanied with a sudden release of energy stored in the original oppositely directed fields.
On the sun, magnetic reconnection may happen on solar arcades -a series of closely occurring loops of magnetic lines of force. These lines of force quickly reconnect into a low arcade of loops leaving a helix of magnetic field unconnected to the rest of the arcade. The sudden release of energy in this reconnection causes the solar flare. The unconnected magnetic helical field and the material that it contains may violently expand outwards forming a coronal mass ejection.[2]
This also explains why solar flares typically erupt from what are known as the active regions on the sun where magnetic fields are much stronger on an average."

Sunny Autumn is right. the sun will become a red dwarf in something like 4-5 billion years from now and think that in 7000 years since the first technology what we can do in 4 billion years. we would probably live with cybernetics inside our heads and drive in particle accelerators in the speed of light to work. think about it.

I lol'ed at this one, synthetic life, I like that. You do know that we are nearly there, though, right? Some university prof's made this thing that connected to a rats brain cells ( once actually removed from the brain of the rat ) which controlled a flight-simulator, it was totally awesome, after like 3-5 tries the rats brain cells could fly this plane like a WWII veteran!
