why the spectating isn't possible on CC and on CS2D it is possible? if on CS2D we have to sycnronize the whole map and sprites too? I don't understand!

I think, because it need to download ALL lua's which is in current wep set, and also a map + all objects on it, and, it may cause big ammount of lags on server i guess

A background/foreground in the editor should be nice witch is basically a layer system like in cs 2d or a zoom system for more accurate drawing.

and once again... this has already been requested so freaking often - even in this thread and I already explained why it doesn't work:

the amount of data is just MUCH bigger. cs2d uses simple tilemaps and most parts of these maps are entirely static. but in cc the whole map can be destructed and repainted. each pixel has to be sent. that are at least 3 bytes per pixel. this means on a 1300x600 map, which is the default size: 1300x600x3 = 2340000 bytes = 2285 kb = 2,2 mb. okay this is without compression but you'll also have to synchronize the scripts and all together this is muuuuch more data than in cs2d.

joining a cc game while it is running would either cause lags for playing people or it would take too long (in a way that everyone would complain again). it's just not working.
guess why comparable games don't have this feature...

DC has explained that so often, lol. But personally I would REALLY like to see just two things:
1. A Lua Script Debugger
So you don't have to create a server everytime you need to test some Lua
2. Custom Hats ( like sprays in CS2D )
Coz having the same hats with everybody sucks, and even with Mumu's hats thingy it still isn't like yours, know what I mean?

BlueLimon: "Objects" are pretty similar to entities in CS2D. you can even script your own objects in CC. so the possibilities are countless.

Admir: There are still some bugs which need to be fixed before CC becomes beta.

@DC: But for script objects, you need to know lua; and I and most players don't know lua. BTW would be cool if we can choose where we wanna put trees. And entities are not only env_! and the triggers? another entities? would be cool to put sprites with entites at the map.

i think would be cool, when guy want enter a playing server, players will recieve message what "%username% want to join game", once, of course

no.

also, scripting weapons is not that hard. Took me about 3 minutes to make a Galil that fired explosive/incindiary rounds and ate through walls with a 35 round clip just my modifying the default weapons.

Yes but that is not actually scripting the weapon from scratch. It is considerably harder to create something that has not been invented yet

Copy and pasting is NOT scripting!

@BlueLimon: you need to know Lua to modify CC. I can't make it much easier without limiting the possibilities.

MAYBE placeable objects for the editor will be implemented someday.

Dedicated server isn't useless, because then there will be servers that are online 24/7, which means no looking for a server, hosting one if there aren't any, etc. The problem lies with people that don't click 'ready' because they want to annoy people. So dedicated servers would be nice, but are not neccisary at this stage of development.

I'd say that it's necessary to PREVENT doing of dedicated server in stage of Cc alpha.

I think there should be skip connecting to usgn button (in start) because when I'm out of internet and testing my weapons, I must wait ~15 seconds until menu appears.
