First of all Hello.

I'm currently making a map, however, I need information from You!

Facts:
•The small island will be surrounded by sharks+piranha's
•Diary entries
•Massive mod

First, let me sketch the scenario so far.
Scenario has written
You were offered a trip to hawai for just 100 euro's. Ofcourse you accept, and end up stranded on a small island next to a big one.
(Rough map (AKA only island outline wich is not even sure yet) is at end of post)


Small Island has written
Small should be more like medium. It's like, 1/8th of a 256x256 map.
The small island is relatively safe. No lion/raptor spawns, however,
•No iron (maybe some in crates),
•No clay (maybe some in crates)
•No fishing spot!,
•No banana trees > no tamed monkeys
•No (however, maybe some paste) grain
And ofcourse other things are not there.


For the plot (Yes, I am planning on making a plot. Diary entries will be included for sure)
you will need to go to the big island as well.
Basically, the big island should be a place you go to gather supplies, however be to dangerous to actually live.

However, I need help. No editing/scripting (so far) help, but how I can keep the Stranded II feeling longer! Most maps get easy after a few days, or are rediculously hard.
Therefor I would like to have a small enquete.

After I feel enough map name's have been suggested I will create a poll with my favorites. AKA, you will make the winner!

Please note, your opinion is just one of many. Do not expect this to be perfectly adapted to your preferences, although I will take everything in account.

Please note, the enquete might change. Updating your answer = better map, better experience, more adapted to your likings! (and a happy me)

(hard island you go to for supplies) Argor

The names were given by the greek gods... you find their names on stones... one on each island... you could attach a script to a sign that you position just right so that it appears that the sign is actually built into the stone... As for killing the stone, when the stone is killed, just put a script that would delete the signpost as well...

Just an idea that I thought up...

I thought of that... but... how is the player going to know to press "e" at a stone?

Personally I think there should be something that makes that stone special... makes it stand out... perhaps at a state to it like lightning?

#1 You could on the first island put a small village that has been abandoned... and in this village you would put a hut and a big storage and a couple other things that the player would automatically use. The player would use these things and not be in too big a hurry to make his own... however, you could script the hut storage and etc so that after a certain number of days they fall apart or catch fire, which would undoubtly leave the player feeling somewhat stranded as all the food and etc that he had placed in the storage would burn down, and all a sudden his shelter is gone... Just an idea...

The best thing is that it provides a solid starting point for the plot.

Is there a behaviour setting that will make a animal go towards you and kill you even if you are on the other side of the map?

And would anyone mind telling me (if possible) how to change the settings of a behaviour for ONE unit (NOT entire animal kind (lion, raptor) but for one unit.
If that is not possible, where the behaviour data's are.

I still need map name suggestions!

You could always include the unit :inf: with the map in that case...

As for the name... Hmm... how about looking up the Fiji Islands... From what I've heard they are located in the south pacific, which wouldn't be too hard to get to if you were on a boat and knocked off course by a storm, or if there was an instrument malfunction in an airplane. I've also heard that there are many islands on Fiji where no human being has ever set foot...

But then, thats just what I've heard...

Oh, and land creatures (esp. lions) tend to walk into water. Not deep, but the occasional monkey that does it goes underwater...
Any way to prevent this?

This would keep the small island safer as well...

The only named Fuji Islands that might fit are Ovalau&Moturiki.
These are 2 islands close together, one tiny and one big.
However, I dislike following an existing thing`s map.
"islands" should sure be included in the map name though.

As for things going through the water... its most likely because of your computer lagging... turn off 2d processing and anything else that might cause CPU strain... including wind swinging and stuff like that...
