××× Please ignore this thread it got off topic and very messy. Could a mod please close this thread? ×××

Hello, everyone, I started making a mod that just adds new items and I want it to be something that I work on on and off.

• I successfully added my own sword model and the item works perfect but the texture doesn't load, the model is just white. <-nvrmnd (ty withoutname!)

• Also I tried turning gore off in the game.inf but blood still shows up in the game, how can I fix this? <- nvrmnd

P.S. How do I upload screen shots? <- nvrmnd

> Removing Weed. √
> editing the swords.(new models and textures)
(Finished!) √
> Add Item : Boat Scrap (Used to make the blade of one of the swords.)√

No, I will make my own models but I might take a look at the script for milking.

These show the sword and what you need to make them. (you also must use a hammer.)
(the thing in the first pic is a metal boat scrap, which I put in specially for that sword. I changed the vines to threads so just pretend those are threads lol.)
(I will add a forging skill soon.)

Its fairly easy, I have been using it for over a year so to me it is really easy. Oh, I forgot to mention on the first sword that is supposed to be rust but I went a little overboard and it looks like blood. I will redo the texture later to make it more rusty like.

P.S. does anyone know of any armor scripts that I can take a look at?

I don't suggest using anim8or, it is actually a really bad tool. I started in that but I only used for a few days before I switched to blender. Blender is WWWAAAAYYYYY more effeicent. plus you can rotate around in one view instead of 4 but if you like 4 you can set it up that way. and it has all sorts of better features and a huge community to help you.

It's not difficult but you can't expect to be good at anything after like a day of using it.... And it does support .b3d just go here http://www.gandaldf.com/downloads.html and get the .b3d exporter.

> Then extract the files and take the .py file and open the place you installed blender.

> Navigate to the .blender folder then the scripts folder and drop the .py folder in there.

> Now from the plugin you downloaded, put the blitz3d folder into the bpymodules that is inside of the scripts folder of blender. then BAM! you can make your models, animate your models and then export your models.

If you need help in blender come here : http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro it is the BEST FREE blender tutorial site on the web, they are so good in fact that I still use the tutorials there. Like they said it covers EVERYTHING from when your a noob to when your a pro. enjoy your Stay with blender. You should start in the begining and kind of skip around from the modeling tuts to the basics like the names for different "technical" aspects of 3D.

Oh also if you can't find the help you need on that wiki go to blender artists in my sig and make an account on the forums, There is a HHHUUUGGGEEEE mass of people that have used blender for years and know everything about it, and they will gladly help anyone.

Have Fun

What could be easier than that? It is just 3 easy steps... Oh, well if I cant make you use Blender I won't. I haven't tried any other 3d programs but I still don't suggest anim8or because it sucks butt. It is too different from any other 3d program, so when you feel like trying a new program you will have no clue as to what is going on, if you use anim8or. You can try wings3d I don't know what it is like but I hear it is ok. You can also try Milkshape 3d I hear that's also good. especially for texturing. But remember absolutly nothing in life can be learned and done well in a couple days, so if you don't mind spending a week or two learning blender please give it a shot, I just want to share a great piece of free open source software that has been in development for over a decade with everyone. Sorry if I sound like some used car salesman but PLEASE just try it for a week or two. and to learn quickly use the noob to pro tuts. I am just trying to save you from using bad software. And just so you guys know I did those swords in about ten minutes total textures and all, that's how easy it is. Did I also mention blender has an AWESOME integrated game engine and physics engine?

First of all the exporter is a plugin for BLENDER not anim8or. And besides anim8or has 0 community and only like 2 tuts on the entire web I REALLY don't suggest using it but if that is what you wish then go screw yourself over using anim8or. And why the hell did you spend the money on 3DS Max if you are still arguing with me about anim8or? Or did you Pirate the damn software? Which I am pretty sure you did. Actually I am not even sure you have it you are likely lying.

P.S. It is 3D studio max you retard, that is what the "s" stands for in 3ds.

P.P.S. Sorry For anyone that actually read my thread to get info about my mod. I will let this thread die or let a mod close it, then I will make a new one.

P.P.P.S. I was not trying to make any enemies or rivals, All I wanted to do was introduce a truly awesome piece of free software to people, because if Vibhor got off his lazy butt and would at least try blender for more than an hour he would see how great it actually is. I don't really care if he uses blender because he is a lazy stubborn piece of horse crap ( no offense Vibhor ). So if anyone actually reads this then please try blender for like a week following those instructions I gave earlier.
