Do you have the latest version (b0.1.1.4)? Did you checked your firewall's settings? Is your CS2D folder unpacked - do NOT play CS2D via .zip folder!Maybe you will solve this by...
Re-downloading Counter-Strike 2D.And don't forget to read the FAQ!
go to your maps folder and delete the map. this will make cs2d re-download the whole stuff you don't have.

If you join the server, start downloading and then exit, it won't let you download the rest. It is quite a problem for me, too.
But for me if i download a part and then exit it will let me download the rest when i reconnect.
Did you re-downloaded CS2D? It's pure nonsense what you are describing...

Normally when you downloadwith "internet explorer" and your internet disconnect the it won't try to connect again, but "firefox browser" do, try downloading that,

if you can start the game and it just won't download the server files like "maps" or "sounds" then you should take your "signal/antenna" start get's your internet and make it so it don't get interrupted i mean if you have you siganl thing in your closet then it won't really connect, but if it sometime stop downloading the files is a common thing because it won't reconnect and start again so goto options>net> and then put your connection on "SLOW" and buy a better connection
