Story: So I went cs2d_0111_win/gfx/buildings(edit) and i selected a random image, copied it, then pasted it in an empty folder. I thought it would come out as a bitmap file but instead it came out a scrap object file (whatever the hell that is) and now i cant edit it and i cant use it in any of my maps. Now the worst part of all is that everytime I go gfx/tiles/(any map)(edit) and select a random image and copy and paste it in any folder, it comes out as a scrap object. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME! I WANT MY BITMAP IMAGES BACK!!!

you have to copy the file. what you did is copying the image from an image programm like paint or gimp. the windows explorer can't handle this copy because it is not a valid file with header and name but just a set of pixels. everytime you paste data in the explorer which is not a real file you will get a scrap-file.
solution: open your programm like paint, gimp, photoshop or whatever and past it there. these programs should be able to handle the data.

paint not; when there is something transparent, and you save it when you chaneged something the colour is black or white instead of transparent, DC you mean sure paint.net and not the MS - Paint
