i have a better way to your idea: making the lines and particles gray instead of yellow and a little transparent, that would lag a lot less than using smoke sprites, even more if you realize tht M4A1 is a fast shooting weapon


I think you're still misunderstanding me. I meant that when your M4 is silenced, there should be no visible bullets whatsoever, and the huge flash of light that you still get around the end of the gun should be replaced with the small smoke sprite instead.

no visible bullets is a bad idea, and as DC said before ( or in other topic i dont remember) ther will be noobs spraying over a field while camping

and even if your gun is silenced in real life, theres still the flash, because silencers dont absorb the explosion of the powder when it leaves

if i still dont get it then just wait for a DC reply

The point of having visible shots is to let players vector out (through approximation from multiple shots) exactly where the source is coming from. CS2D is as much about psychological warfare as it is about shooting. In fact, the only way a player can improve past his/her aiming is to develop an "instinct" that allows him/her to accurately predict the moves of enemies that he's made contact with, or through observed patterns, the possible areas of potential contact. Trust me, in this game, shooting and aiming is the least important factor of winning, the ability to detect, trace, and predict is almost always superior than just pointing and clicking.

What would u think of an "auto-buy" function?

For example u can make right-click on the HE and every time you spawn u will automatically start with the HE (and 200$ less)

what about the possibility to use more than one tileset per time when mapping, and because the lag is my archenemy, make it limited to 2 or 3 tilesets per time

useful when making theme-swap maps, like turning dust into aztec theme or vice-versa

another one ( and i have plenty suggestions today):
i been reading on threads about the "zombies win" phrase, why not random phrases, each round a random message appears, here is some:
when survivors win:
"infectation has gone, survivors win!"
"zombies succumbed, surviros win!"
"a cure has beed released, survivors win!"
"rescue is here! survivors win!"

when zombies win:
"humanity has gone, zombies win"
"human race extinct, zombies win"
"all humans infected, zombies win"

and for construction:
the server or admin should be able to change the speed that buildings are made, and also set the turret limit per person, not just 1

in the editor could have a env_turret, a pre-build turret, and you choose what team it belongs, good for bases or team-only areas, or make it neutral, shooting anything that moves, the neutral would be nice to protect secret weapons room, where u gotta be fast or the turret kill you

only env_turret, why not env_building so that you can edit the map and add some dispensers there

Also, let the server/admin could be able to choose the money a team gets when they win/lose
ie: When your team loses, you get 1400$, when you win, you get 2500$ let us be able to change those values, please

it never makes sense to suggest the same thing twice.
in fact this problem has already been fixed and you will get the fix with the next release.

I agree with Zune5, like CS1.6 we can select our weapon and random spawn.

Even more better it would be if you could set the factor x for the amount of percent, a player gets bonus money for every kill without dying (kill- series like doblekill and so on)
