I have played Stranded II on and off since it was released, I love it.

I never really looked at the Mods but after seeing yours, how could I not? So I downloaded your Mod on my girlfriend's laptop and she played it fine. I have just gotten it on my computer and with/without the extra downloads for your Mod, it always comes up with 'Memory Access Violation'.

We both run Windows 7 so that cannot be the problem. I do have a NVIDIA GeForce GT 230 graphics card whereas she has an Intel. I tried your download for nvidia + win 7 but it did not make a difference.

I notice you have stated about one user getting Memory Access Violation but cannot find anything about fixing this problem.

EDIT: Just thought I would state how it happens - I open the Stranded2.5 application and it goes to a black screen, loads the loading bar up to 98% "Loading Infos" which is when it closes to the desktop and I get the 'Memory Access Violation' window titled 'Error!'.


NOTE: I run Stranded II fine, it seems to only have this problem with this Mod and Massive Mod (I have not tried any other Mods).


If I can get this to work, I will play this instead of Massive Mod as I would prefer better graphics over extra features.
It would however be nice if the limited amount of Stranded II Modders worked together in a way to make sure the popular mods were compatible with each other.

There's a new compiled exe-file (stranded2.5.exe) if this should solve your problems, everything is fine, but if this doesn't work, i cant help you anymore.

Otherwise you change your graphiccard to ATI (like mine)

@Jesterhead: Of course you're right, but I suspect that very few possess this knowledge to craft something like this.
So I/you can generally assume , thats for 'normal mortals' is not feasible. I am certainly the last, which would make this huge work.

"normal mortals". But yes, it takes time. I've added anything from mods I like to "my stranded", which I'm sure many others have done, and it does get quite frustrating (especially with the s2ext which is all German), but this is off topic.

I just noticed, the profile pictures of all the posts below this typing box are all smaller than they used to be.

Is there another site I can download this mod from? Or do I just keep trying at file-upload?

bro this is seruisly cool now i can see how he does the things and the blowpipe is sooo cool and how he holds the spear its just more realistic but ok just a little and you finished the graphics but could you make a new adventure the old one got boring

The post is in German, go to "Downloads" and download the second one for the complete version (in English, without source code) or the third one for the source code.

You can use it for everything you want to, but it would be nice, if you would write that it's made by Mc Leaf, Quester and me

A new version of this update is still in work, but it will take a while to complete it.
