Some time ago, i tested if it was possible to add a whole new melee system to stranded 2 and i came up with these scripts. Even though they are far from perfect i decided to upload it as this map (or mod, some new objects are added but its oly usable in the arena map so i uploaded it as a map).
The new melee system works by swiping with the mouse over the screen. There are different types of attacks and different hitzones with different damages and different chances of beeing parried by the AI.
An explanation of the different attacks is provided in the README file of the download.
If someone thinks he has a use for the scripts i allow you to do whatever you want with them.

This was REALLY fun to play with!
I could see this being done in combat-oriented mods, Monster Hunter style.
If the script can be tweeked with, you can make a gun-oriented version of this! Lower-body shots grant sub-par damage but a crippled status, while headshots provide huge amounts of damage.
